Last Updated: December 30, 2025
If you would like to delete your WordBridge account (if you have one) and the data associated with it, follow the steps below.
How to Request Deletion
In the email, include:
- The email address and/or phone number used in WordBridge (if you provided one)
- Your display name in the app (if applicable)
- The name of your family space (if known)
What We Delete
When we process your request, we delete (or de-identify) data associated with your account, which may include:
- Account/profile information (such as name, email, phone number, and role)
- Family membership links (connections between accounts in a family space)
- Game participation data tied to your account (active games, results, and related gameplay records)
- Invite tokens associated with your account (if stored)
- App-generated identifiers tied to your account (where applicable)
What We May Retain
We may retain limited information for a period of time for legal, security, fraud-prevention, and troubleshooting purposes, such as:
- Basic server logs (e.g., timestamps, device/app version, IP address)
- Records needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes
Time to Complete Deletion
- We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of receiving a valid request.
- Some information may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being automatically removed.
Verification
To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify ownership of the account (for example, by replying from the same email address or confirming a code sent to the phone number on file).
If You Don't Have an Account
If you use WordBridge without providing an email address or phone number, we may not be able to identify your account record. In that case:
- You can delete locally stored data by uninstalling the app from your device.
- You may still email us and we'll do our best to help if you can provide details to locate your data.
